Freshwater Set-Up Hi, We are setting up a 12 gallon Eclipsesystem in our business office. My husband wants to decoratethe tank with automotive engine components (brand new, ofcourse). I have a 120 gallon salt water aquarium and knowthat metal is a big no-no in salt water. Can we put metal inour freshwater tank? It would be aluminum or stainless steelso it wouldn't rust. I'm just concerned aboutdissolved metals in the water. Currently, we have a bettafor the tank and will probably add two or three more fish, althoughwe're not sure what kind yet.

You may need to quarantine freshwater fish before introducing new tank mates, getting fish ready to breed, or if a fish is sick. Quarantine tanks are smaller aquariums that separate some fish kept separately from your general fish population. You can quarantine freshwater fish by setting up a quarantine tank, transporting your fish to its new tank, and recognizing when to separate freshwater fish into different tanks. Having a freshwater aquarium is a wonderful way to bring nature into your home
