Rachel Sacco, president and chief executive officer of the Scottsdale Convention and Visitors Bureau, said the OdySea Aquarium at the Talking Stick Destination will benefit not only the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, but also Scottsdale and the surrounding area.

OdySea in the Desert is looking for a Mid-level Graphic Designer to work with the Creative Director and marketing team to design for the entire OdySea in the Desert organization. It is a unique opportunity to move in-house, get in on the ground floor, and create the brands for OdySea in the Desert, OdySea Aquarium, Butterfly Wonderland, and Laser + Mirror Maze. Dinosaur Takeover is hosted in the outdoor courtyard of OdySea in the Desert, which is located outside of the Aquarium entrance.

This aquarium breathes new life into a 50-year-old shopping mall in the city. More than 30 themed exhibits allow visitors to experiences ecosystems such as the Amazon rain forest, a Caribbean cove, the Egyptian desert and a Mayan jungle.The $60-million aquarium was designed with the idea of immersing the visitor into this underwater world in the desert. Since opening on June 20, 2000, nearly 1 million visitors have walked through every year. When the Shark Reef Aquarium was conceived in the mid 1990s, organizers wanted something different in the middle of the desert, a full-size aquarium for research, conservation and education. The 1.9-million gallon aquarium is one of the largest in North America.Visit OdySea Aquarium after 4PM Friday and Saturday evenings in June and July and pay ONLY $25 per general admission ticket. Plus, for each paid ticket you will recieve a $10 voucher that can be used at any OdySea in the Desert restaurant or shop, excluding OdySea Treasures gift shop, that same day. Aquarium will be open until 8PM during these events, with an early closing time of 6PM on June 23, 24, and July 15.
