Best Fish for a 10-Gallon Tank Setup ..

How's my setup? Please let me know!!

I have a 10 gallon tank with 7 fish: 3 Sunburts and 4 Black Skirt Tetras (3 long skirts and 1 short skirt). The tank has 4 different live plant species and an 18" bubble curtain in the back. The filter has a filter insert as well as a bio fiber insert. For the bubble curtain I have a Whisper Air Pump that is amazingly quite. I also have 2 full spectrum lights and a 10-30 gallon water heater that keeps the water circulating at 72-78 degrees (perfect for tropical fish). The light hood is on an automatic timer and there is a 2x daily automatic feeder so the tank virtually sustains itself.

Please let me know what you think and what you think I should do to make it better.

It's a good idea to have in mind what kind of freshwater aquarium fish you want to keep in your freshwater aquarium setup before you purchase an aquarium. Some fish only grow to be an inch or two, whereas other types of tropical fish can grow 12 or 13 inches or more in length! Knowing what kind of fish you want will help you decide the size of the tank they will need. If this is your first time with an aquarium, it may be a good idea to start with a 10 or 20 gallon aquarium setup for now and stock it with some smaller and hardier species. This is my 10 gallon live plant tropical community tank for my small work desk at home, its been running for a while now and houses
3 honey dwarf gourami (1 male 2 female)
3 balloon dalmatian mollies (1 male 2 female)
3 bronze Cory's (yet to sex)
4 guppies (2 male 2 female)

this tank was set up to experiment with live plants and try to breed the fish i have in it, i got the tank second hand as well as the heater so im not sure of the brand but the filter is the elite stingray 15 which i will be doing a review on at some point,

Get tips on aquariums and fish tanks with help from an aquarium professional in this free video series.Steve was kind enough to stop by, so we threw together a 10-gallon aquascape with some beginner plants in about 5 minutes. NOTE: This is NOT a dirted tank. If it were a tank for the long haul (like your tank) I would have used dirt under this and done the whole process, as it is worth it. So, nothing fancy rolling here: some Dwarf Sag, some Jungle Val, some Water Wisteria and some driftwood. (I should start just selling a 10 gallon combo actually) I am using pool filter sand here which is an OK substrate. I would rather use a slightly larger grade of gravel, but this works. When you are aquascaping, you want to pull the eye away from the center of the tank. You have to locate some great driftwood and angle it. As Steve pointed out, nothing in the center. I'll throw a pic of this tank settled up on the Dustin's Fishtanks Facebook page. Make it a great week! Thanks!
